Autumn Tree Keepsake Card
DESCRIPTION
This beautiful hand-crafted fused glass Autumn Tree Light – Catcher Card has been handmade by me in my studio.
Beautiful hand made fused glass greeting card, with keepsake light catcher decoration, blank inside for your own message.
Autumn Tree Light – Catcher Card is handmade, so it will not be identical to the images shown but will be made just for you! As a result, slight variation from the image shown should be expected.
CREATIVE PROCESS
The design has been made with a base layer of clear glass on which glass paint and tiny pieces of coloured glass have been added to make the Autumn Tree design. The piece is then fused in my kiln so that the design remains as a raised contour on the surface of the piece. Each time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed to give it durability and strength.
A hole is then drilled into the top of the piece and organza ribbon is attached for hanging. The glass piece is then attached with glue dots to a printed card so can easily be removed for hanging.
Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength.
SIZE DETAILS:
The glass piece measures approximately 6cm x 6cm.
The card is white measuring 13cm wide by 13cm high and comes with an envelope all made of recycled paper.
The card has a printed design on the front and blank inside for your own greeting.
Additional protection is included to cover the glass if sending through the post.
It will come to you in a recyclable ‘large letter’ postal box or envelope, if you order more than one, then up to five will be sent to you in the same box.
