Floral Light Catcher Keepsake Card

DESCRIPTION

This beautiful hand-crafted fused glass Floral Light Catcher Keepsake Card has been handmade by me in my studio. The textured raised contour to the fused glass surface makes it a very tactile piece that you’ll want to touch!

The Floral Light Catcher Keepsake Card is handmade, so it will not be identical to the images shown but will be made just for you! As a result, slight variation from the image shown should be expected.

CREATIVE PROCESS

The design has been made with a base layer of clear glass on which glass paint and tiny glass Murrini have been added to make the floral design. The piece is then fused in my kiln so that the design remains as a raised contour on the surface making a very tactile piece. Each time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed to give it durability and strength.
A hole is then drilled into the top of the glass piece and white organza ribbon is attached for hanging. The glass piece is then attached with glue dots to the card making it easy to remove. Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength.

SIZE DETAILS:

The glass piece measures 5cm x 5cm.
The card is white, measuring 13cm wide x 13cm high and comes with a matching white envelope. Blank inside for your own greeting.
If sending through the post, please add additional packaging to protect the glass. It will come to you in a recyclable ‘large letter’ postal box or envelope, if you order more than one, then up to five will be sent to you in the same box.
