Information you share with us

In order for you to become a customer of Crafty Glass Studio, we will require some personal information. This will be limited to your name, email address and, if placing an order, your postal address. This information will only be used to answer any queries you might have, communicate regarding your order and to fulfil your order. By using the ‘contact me’ form on this website, you have given me clear consent for this to occur.

 

Who we share your data with

Payment Security – We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. We do not hold any payment processing information, please see the PayPal Privacy Policy for more details.

Mailing List – Our mailing list is a newsletter available to subscribers on an opt-in basis only and is provided by Mailchimp. If you have chosen to join my mailing list, the email address you provide will not be passed on to any other companies and will only be used as stated, that is, infrequent emails about new products, news etc. You will be required to validate your sign-in before being added to the mailing list (called double opt-in). You are in charge of your subscription and can unsubscribe at any time, should you change your mind. Refer to MailChimp directly to find out about the Mailchimp privacy policy and terms .

Comments – When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection through an automated spam detection service.

Password reset – If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

 

How long we retain your data

We keep your personal information to enable your continued use of our services, for as long as it is required in order to fulfil the relevant purposes described in this Privacy Policy, as may be required by law such as for tax and accounting purposes, or as otherwise communicated to you. For example, we retain your transaction history so that you can review past purchases (and repeat orders if desired) and what addresses you have shipped orders to, and to improve the relevancy of products and content we recommend.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

What rights you have over your data
