Heart Light Catchers
DESCRIPTION
This beautiful hand-crafted fused Glass Heart Light Catcher will look great hanging from a window where the light shining through will bring out the beauty in the glass. The textured raised contour to the fused glass surface makes it a very tactile piece that you’ll want to touch!
The Floral Heart Light Catcher are handmade so slight variation from the image should be expected.
CREATIVE PROCESS
Firstly the flower stems are painted using fusible glass paints. Then thin pieces of glass and murrini are used to create the petals. The piece is then fired in the kiln to just the right temperature so that the glass only just starts to melt and becomes a smooth raised contour to the surface making a very tactile piece. Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength. The fired glass design piece has then been drilled with a hole and a ribbon attached for hanging.

Approx. 9 cm width x 9 cm height x 3mm thick at the widest point.
Every item in the shop is handmade by me and this item is carefully packed inside a box with tissue paper packing. The outer postage box will be packed with recycled, biodegradable or paper packing and sent by ‘signed for’ Royal Mail.
