I have used a variety of reactive glasses to achieve the unique effect that you see.

Creative Process

The piece has been made on a top layer of coloured glass with properties that react with other certain types & colours of glass when fused together. When the design is complete a base layer of clear glass is added underneath and the piece is fired in the kiln to completely melt and fuse both layers and the surface design together forming s smooth surface. Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength. The fired glass design piece has then been carefully mounted onto the glass of a box frame and is ready to hang.

The glass piece measures approx. 11cm x 11cm.

The Cow Parsley Picture box frame measures approximately 26cm X 26cm square and 3cm deep.

Every item in the shop is handmade by me and then carefully packed and sent by ‘signed for’ Royal Mail using only recycled, biodegradable or paper packaging.
