DESCRIPTION
This beautiful hand-crafted fused Glass Christmas Tree Candle Shade is a perfect shade for your Candles and looks great on a window sill, mantel piece or as a table centrepiece. The textured raised contour to the fused glass surface makes it a very tactile piece that you’ll want to touch!
The Christmas Tree Candle Shade is a handmade item, so it will not be identical to the images shown but will be made just for you! As a result, slight variation from the image shown should be expected.
*Please note that the candle shades are suitable for Tea Light candles only*
CREATIVE PROCESS
Small pieces of coloured glass and have been cut by hand and arranged to make the design. A dichroic glass bead is used to top the tree. The piece is then fired in the kiln to just the right temperature so that the glass only just starts to melt and becomes a smooth raised contour to the surface making a very tactile piece. Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength. The fired glass design piece has then been carefully attached to a clear square tea light holder.
SIZE DETAILS:
The candle holder/shade measures approximately 8cm wide x 13cm high x 5cm deep.
Every item in the shop is handmade by me and this item is carefully gift wrapped in an organza bag inside a box with tissue paper packing. The outer postage box will be packed with recycled, biodegradable or paper packing and sent by ‘signed for’ Royal Mail.
