Spring Flower Coasters

DESCRIPTION

These beautiful hand crafted fused Glass Spring Freesias, Bluebells and Snowdrops Coasters make a beautiful addition to your coffee table The textured raised contour to the fused glass surface makes it a very tactile piece that you’ll want to touch!

The Spring Flower Coasters are a handmade and made to order item, so it will not be identical to the images shown but will be made just for you! As a result, slight variation from the image shown should be expected.

CREATIVE PROCESS

The piece has been made using a variety of glass mediums. The design is hand painted on a clear glass base using glass paints made for fusing and then small pieces of coloured glass and have been arranged to enhance design. The piece is then fired in the kiln to just the right temperature so that the glass only just starts to melt and becomes a smooth raised contour to the surface making a very tactile piece. Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength. 

A washable cushioned dot has been attached on each corner on the underside of the coaster to protect your furniture.

Coaster measures approximately 10cm x 10cm x 6mm thick.

The Coasters are available in a choice of Bluebell, Freesia or Snowdrop,  just choose your option from the drop-down box.

Every item in the shop is handmade by me and this item is carefully gift wrapped in an organza bag inside a box with tissue paper packing. The outer postage box will be packed with recycled, biodegradable or paper packing and sent by ‘signed for’ Royal Mail.
