Fused Glass Flower Meadow Candle Shade

DESCRIPTION 

This beautiful hand-crafted fused glass Flower Meadow Candle Shade has been handmade by me in my studio. The textured raised contour to the fused glass surface makes it a very tactile piece that you’ll want to touch!

The Flower Meadow Candle Shade is handmade, so it will not be identical to the images shown but will be made just for you! As a result, slight variation from the image shown should be expected.

CREATIVE PROCESS

The design has been made using fusible glass paints for the background and then tiny pieces of coloured Art glass arranged to make the flower meadow design. The piece is then fused in my kiln so that the design remains as a raised contour on the surface making a very tactile piece. Each time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed to give it durability and strength.

The glass piece is then attached to a tea light candle holder to make a free standing ornament.

The glass piece  measures approximately 9cm across at its widest point.
