FLORAL LANTERN

DESCRIPTION

This beautiful hand-crafted fused Glass Floral Lantern is a perfect shade for your Candles and looks great on a window sill, mantel piece or as a table centrepiece and can be used outdoors too.  The textured raised contour to the fused glass surface makes it a very tactile piece that you’ll want to touch!

The lantern in the photos will be similar to the one you will receive.

CREATIVE PROCESS

On a clear glass base fusible glass paints and small pieces of coloured glass and have been arranged to make the design. The piece is then fired in the kiln to just the right temperature so that the glass only just starts to melt and becomes a smooth raised contour to the surface making a very tactile piece. Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength. 

The lantern can be used indoor or outdoor with a candle or fairy lights.

All four sides have been decorated with delicate colourful flowers which when lit up with either a candle or fairy lights inside give a lovely glow to any room.
