Fish Picture

This beautiful hand-crafted fused glass Fish Picture will look spectacular on your wall or would make a unique gift. The textured raised contour to the fused glass surface makes it a very tactile piece that you’ll want to touch!

Creative Process

The piece has been made using hand cut coloured glass in 2 separate firings. Firstly the background is created and fired and then the fish design is created on top incorporating Dichroic glass to add some sparkle. The piece is fired in the kiln to just the right temperature so that the glass only just starts to melt and becomes a smooth raised contour to the surface making a very tactile piece. Each firing process can take up to 14 hours to complete and every time the glass is fired it is cooled slowly and annealed for long enough to give it durability and strength. The fired glass design piece has then been carefully mounted onto the glass of the frame and is ready to hang.

The glass piece measures approx. 14cm x 14cm.

The Slim White Frame  measurements approx 29.5cm x 29.5cm x 1.5cm deep.

Every item in the shop is handmade by me and then carefully packed and sent by ‘signed for’ Royal Mail using only recycled, biodegradable or paper packaging.
